Not a spyderco but I just sharpened my Sebenza by hand on a spyderco stone I honed to be ultra fine. 18DPS, bevel set on my XC DMT then taken up threw EF on my Dia-sharps, after than onto my spyderco ceramic combo-stone. This is just from the stone, not yet stropped. http://i452.photobucket.com/albu...

Made my fine bench stone into a combo stone fine/extra fine
Recently I got more interested in my sharpening equipment (and of course skill) and have been upgrading my equipment since (now have XC-EF 6" DMT plates and had this fine spyderco then several different material strops with compound/diamond paste) but I thought I should get an extra fine stone ...

Usually the collectors club numbers add no value but with it being such a low number it may be a little extra but not much. Your best bet is to search out someone else who has another #19 and see if they want it. I know just recent on BFC there was a guy searching out #100's (be had 3 different ones...

No, just sharpen it like a PE chisel grind (or a scandi grind), without changing the bevel any but then instead of flipping it over and doing the ground side you just make a few passes on a buffing wheel and your done. Really man trying to file each individual serration is the wrong way to go about ...

I have a Byrd hawkbill. First off you don't sharpen the ground side, you sharpen the flat side. I do so on a sharpmaker rod and then remove the burr (formed on the ground side) on my buffing wheel. You could use the quartz-ceramic rod out of a burned out high pressure sodium buld or even sand paper ...

This is NOT my picture/work but I'll be starting the process on mine tomorrow. I've received detailed instructions and can't wait to see how my first attempt comes out (I've done sever forced patinas before, just never a design like his) http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq247/1badv8dime/knives%20/...

I know it is a bit off topic but would like to seek some advice here. I have just received my new Air and would like to force a patina on it. I tried to dissemble the knife but am unable to loose the pivot screws. They are just too tight. I did want to try very hard as I was afraid stripping the sc...

I get my stuff from USAKnifemaker as well and have had my eyes on Moonglow, but haven't ordered any yet. Maybe I'll toss some in with my next batch of items. I wish I could find a place that sold the blue Moonglow, as I have a specific project I want it for but I can't seem to find the blue version...

I got mine from USAKM, its sold as real moon glow, not a generic house brand GitD acrylic like some places and I have no reason to doubt them, I've dealt with them many times. It is rather scratch prone, and I almost did a matt finish to combat that but in the end I liked it shiney to much to sand i...

Moon glow dragonfly
Just about finished this up (I still have to flare the lanyard tube today) but I'm proud of it, my first time working with the material. This is a gift for a good friend ( who will probabily chime in). Anyone else got a custom moon glow project they want to share? http://i.imgur.com/wJQi0Ej.jpg%5B/I...
