Re: Emerson knives??
Hi Raven, I’ve purchased about 7 Emerson’s over the years and I can tell you that the newly made ones are superior in action, detent strength and lockup. I still experience lock stick but it seems to break in and go away. The grinds are beautiful and the finished is pretty good. I say pretty good be...

Re: 2021 Spyderco Forum Calendar Contest!
Member: Liquid Cobra Model: Spyderco Swayback The Spyderco Swayback is my submission for this years calendar. I really love how it’s a mix of traditional and modern knife design and so I thought this old barn seemed like a good pairing. Thanks Spyderco! https://i.imgur.com/2wfPdY3_d.jpg?maxwidth=640...

Re: Liquid Cobra is making some knives..
Better and better! How's the lockup on this one? I know you had some lockstick issues on your first. Again, just very well-done man. Thanks everyone. Yes, the lock up is much better on this one. A small amount of lock stick but I think it’s going to break in. No blade play this time like on ...

Completed my second liner lock yesterday. -CPM 20CV steel -Custom detent ball. (I drilled the detent hole too large so I had to replace the ceramic one with a steel ball bearing that I made) -Titanium liners -Peel ply g10 scales -Backspacer -Front flipper -Phosphor bronze washers -Lynch pocket clip ...

Re: The DAMAUKPK Project: Damasteel UK Penknife UKPK
Sal, why not proclaim this officially a Forum Knife, and sell it through SFO webshop? After all, it's been set up here, guided by David. I wouldn't need any etching or anything on the knife (definitely not on the blade!). A certificate or so would do. What do you think? Probably because it would li...

Re: Exclusives?
I must applaud Heinnie Haynes not only for listening to the requests of their UK customers, but also for the courage to make such an investment. As an exclusive, they "own" the design as long as they keep making them. They will keep making them as long as you keep purchasing them. I would...

Re: Exclusives?
Interesting topic. I’d have to say I agree with your comments CXXX. As a Canadian trying to get my hands on the tanto PM2 I am having to pay a considerable penny to make it happen, well over the asking price. I don’t want to get into the why (border problems). If the same knife (tanto, wave) was sta...

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread
I have wanted one of these for a long time but I’m trying to buy less knives. Well, I woke up this morning and it was still available so I added it to cart, just for a second to see what it felt like. And well, one thing led to another and before I knew it I was pulling out my credit card. I’ve got ...

I remember Sal saying that they wouldn’t discontinue the military to make room for the military 2.

I don’t need or want it. But if Spyderco doesn’t produce one with the grip you speak of, you could always just cut out some grip tape and put it on yourself.

Those look great dig dug! I dyed the scales this morning. I used black but no matter what I tried this was as dark as they would get. Not bad. https://i.imgur.com/GEtG8cB_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium https://i.imgur.com/25vBGRm_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelit...

Spyderco knife mods
I’ve been modding a bunch of my knives lately and thought I would create a thread for everyone to share their Spyderco mods. So let’s see them! Today I did the dodo, pits and added a clip to my swayback. The day I got the swayback I acidwashed the screws so they weren’t shiny anymore. https://i.imgu...

Here Bjorkmans Twist on a Rassenti Satori I used to own. It’s a beautiful pattern.

Too many circular options for my liking. Hopefully Bjorkmans twist wins.

Re: Blade HQ copper rex45 pm2
Hmm...nowhere near as much internal milling as I was expecting. Seeing how the lockbar is inset is very cool. The grooves to help it from twisting is a really nice touch.
I came to this thread to ask someone to open theirs up. So thank you Rinzler.

Re: Large slipjoint Spydie, anyone?
I grew up using nail-breaker ex-army jacknives and an ancient bone handled, black bladed pocket knife from my grandfathers shed, sharpened to a wavey slither. Victorinox/Wenger were waaay too pricey for kids, except for those dreadful knock-offs which put me off SAK’s for years. Used victorinoxes c...
