You know you're a Spyderco addict when your answer to "what was your first legitimate use of your Spyderco" is "opening the box for another Spyderco" :D LOL, That comparison has been made before by my wife. Since joining up and hanging out on the knife forums, my Spydie collecti...

Up until a couple of hours ago I was carrying my Forum Native 5. Then Mr Postman brought me my Vallotton, and it kicked the Native out of my pocket for the rest of the day.

I have absolutely no interest in H1 kitchen knives. Expensive steel, no real benefits for me and cannot be flat ground. MBS-26 or VG10 will be much better and less expensive. What is it about H1 that it can't be flat ground? I haven't heard that before. I've noticed that the salt line were all sabe...

Personally, I think that a 'Waving' a PM2 blade would ruin it's great lines. Kinda makes me shudder just to think about it.

I have to 'Think' about the spyder drop when I occasionally do it. Thumb flicking my spydies on the other hand is so ingrained now that I don't even notice that I do it usually.

Mine has opened a few boxes so far. Most recently about an hour ago when it opened the box that my new Vallotton Sub Hilt came in.

I theink that the Spydies with the best 'Natural' grip are the models with a forward finger choil and a decent thumb ramp.

I aggree, there are several of my Spydies that I wish carried deeper. A deep carry replacement clip option would be nice. BUT...... Some of the clip designs would be hard to do that way because the screw holes would be covered.

Watched the entire video and I don't think they are pillows. They are a pad with a beveled or contured edge.

I have a list of older Spydies about a mile long that I keep my eyes open for. So far the only really long out of production ones that I have are a Centofante 2, a Howard Viele with the Spyder edge, and a pair of D'Allaras. I have a few that went out of production in the last few years, but that hap...

Elliot, you were probably thinking of the Sage 1 if it was CF. The Sage series is a homage series that Spyderco is doing to honor knife makers who developed specific locking mechanisms. The Sage 1 is for Michael Walker's linerlock, and it's in CF. Sage 2 honors Chris Reeve and his intergal frame loc...

How does detent work on these systems? Ken The IKBS knives still have a detent just like most knives. The bearings mainly just replace the bushings that most knives have. The bearings are so smooth in both my Eros and my Ripple that just the pressure needed to defeat the detent is enough to cause t...

The more sympathetic the knife carrier the more apt to comply to irrational fear over personal right. Oh, I am sympathetic, and once I know that they are nervious about the knife I try to be more discrete about using a knife. I'll pull out my Leatherman P4 Squirt with the 1 1/2" blade instead....
