Wrong or Not: People selling pictures of 9/11 and other tragedies?

What do you all think of this? I was told that there are people offering actual pictures of the destruction of the World Trader Center Towers from September 11th, 2001, mostly foreign nationals and others who are trying to make a quick buck from it. Do you all consider this to be wrong, or, just an...

It is utterly horrific and disgusting. How can human politicians and their supporters ban man's oldest and most useful tool, the tool, that can be argued, is what all other tools are based off of. (the basic tools aside from fire, such as the wedge (knife) and geared systems, etc)? I mean, in their...

Knife World Magazine: I highly recommend purchasing a subscription!

Does anyone else here subscribe to Knife World magazine? It is printed on newspaper style paper and has excellent information on old and new knives of all sorts, great articles, and is very clean. There are buy/sell classifieds and names/addresses of assorted custom and factory knife producers. The...

Received the new Native, I love it!

I just received the new Native with the S30V Stainless Steel blade. It is excellent. Well-made, a nearly perfect everyday carry and utility knife.

How do you all like it?

Extra, Super Large Versions of your favorite Spyderco: Would it work?

Here is a cool idea, I don't know if others have posted about this. Picture your favorite Spyderco knife, be it the Endura, Delica, Native, Manix, Centofante, or fixed blades like the Jump Master, etc, SUPER sized. I'm talking with blades in the 10-15 inch range, or in the 7-9 inch range, for each ...

Thank you for your replies. It just would be so cool and so important if we could figure out a way to somehow directly manipulate the quantum realm like that. I enjoy discussing this stuff and also sharing information on it with others. There is this guy Dan Solomon who wrote a series of articles o...

I use a nylon billfold but I have one of those woven stainless steel fiber ones somewhere. Have you seen them? There are also these wallets and inserts made of this aluminized material that supposedly blocks scanners that would try to steal your personal information.

Will Pennies ever be discontinued in the USA?

There has been talk back and forth about the possible discontinuation of the American penny. What are your thoughts on this everyone? I have been to stores and businesses where they have a container of pennies beside the cash register, in case someone buys say a bag of chips or something and the bi...

Matter and Energy from the Quantum Vacuum: Virtual State Engineering!

I hesitated before I decided to post this because there are those who will likely say it is not possible, but please read the information and examine the sources and references before you poo poo it. I am convinced there is reality to it. http://www.cheniere.org/techpapers/Precursor%20Engineering1....

Knife Printer

As many of you here likely know, Rapid Prototyping and Three-Dimensional Printing have been advancing in recent years, and now there are already commercial models that work with plastics and polymers, such as Maker Bot and there are versions such as Rep Rap. : reprap.org Eventually these will advanc...

How is it not feasible or in the same class of problems? There is a guy named Josh Hall who came up with this concept of utility fog. I could see an extension of this for firefighting applications.

Manix 2 or Native: Help me decide?

Hello friends, I was considering purchasing either the new Manix with the FRCP handle, and the full flat grind, OR, the Native with the CPM-S30V Stainless Steel blade. Main use: Everyday carry and home use, such as opening mail, cutting fruit (oranges, apples, you name it), and also as an emergency...

Does home/custom alteration of Spyderco Knives damage the temper?

I noticed some posts where people took an existing Spyderco model and altered the blade steel to better appeal to them or give them a new function, such as putting an Emerson kindof Wave on a non-Wave blade. My question: Does this in any way damage the overall temper and hardness and strength of th...

Thanks Blerv. Horribly enough, and oddly enough, one person who tried to defend this in a discussion I once had, was a "cultural relativist". This person claimed "You have no right to judge other cultures and people, if it makes them happy to do that with animals, you can't judge them...

Fire-Fighting Idea: Would like some feedback

Fire is man's oldest tool-material, aside from the knife, and we need fire but obviously it can be devastating when uncontrolled and out of control. I was thinking about an idea on how to instantly or at least very quickly smother a fire from its oxygen supply and I was inspired by science fiction....
