While I enjoy the Walking Dead, their portrayal of small folding knives as instant zombie-killing lightsabers is a little silly. It's ridiculous how, even when surrounded with weapons that have much more reach, the characters choose to whip out their little Gerbers and miraculously stab zombies in t...

Prion diseases like CJD/Kuru could create some zombie-like symptoms, are transmitted by eating raw brains of one's own species, and if they were somehow cariied by a bloodborne pathogen, would look and act like a zombie virus. Also, if civilization breaks down and meth/crack addicts/cooks can't get...

Thinking of buying a hip flask. Suggestions?

Usually I'd like to try and buy American at every chance I get; I don't think there's an option in the hip flask market, save for a $200+ hand-made copper one.. So, excluding that, I'd like some suggestions on a nice quality hip flask. Here's some requirements I'd like to meet: Less than $100 5 to 8...

Spyderco seems to have everyone beat as far as sharpness and edge geometry go, but I really like the ZT 0300BW I got about a month and a half ago.

My first pocket knife was a small Frost Cutlery knife, with gray plastic handles and a clear red button that disengaged the paper-thin liner lock. I got it when my Grandpa passed away, when I was 12 or so.

Rick Deckard's pocket knife?

After seeing the 1982 movie Blade Runner, I started to wonder what sort of pocket knife Harrison Ford's character would have carried, to accompany his famous hand cannon. Can anyone think of something currently being produced that, with little to no modifications, would look the part?
