Re: Has anyone drilled, laser cut, or skeletonized a stainless handle?
I thought of those issues also. I don't think there would be any harm in dinking through one side and dimpling the INSIDE of the other handle side. That's why I'm asking about laser cutting. I'd really like to see if I could find a shop that would do a dinky job like this. My rejecting a drill ...TH...

Has anyone drilled, laser cut, or skeletonized a stainless handle?
My usual thing to do to Spydie SS handles is send them off for scroll engraving. However, I just rec'd a new Police and, looking at it got the idea of maybe putting holes in the handle. Maybe just the side without the clip or study it a bit more to see if an opening on the clip side would be a bad t...

The only bad things about carrying a Delica or Endura is that it brands you as a .... COMMONER!
The very thought of people trusting anything less than a titanium framelock to keep their fingers from being cut off accidentally drives some to apoplexy.

Every day I get happier and happier with my VG-10.
Gotta admit to a fondness for 154-CM also.
But....then again.... I don't HAVE any ZDP.

Re: Quick question
Kelley's Knives in Modesto, CA does ...SUPERB....work. He has both serrated plain and made plain out of serrated for me. He even serrated a PE Endura Wave. GREAT work. His sharpening is truly amazing. His prices are so low as to be embarrassing. :) Best contact is through facebook https://www.facebo...

Re: Rookie saved Christmas
It needed to be sharpened, but it still shaved hair at the area that reflected light on the edge. NO!!! NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!! It can NOT shave hair where it shows light. Not never. Nohow!!!! If it does, it really pisses me off because mine won't shave hair unless the edge not only will not reflect...

Re: Who owns a Enuff?
I have a leaf Enuff and like a lot. Except for fondling I have only really used it on one camping trip. It made me smile, enuff said. I did exchange the sheath for the second generation version. It is much improved with greater retention. Bottom line, I like it (would like yellow scales however). D...

Re: I added a deep carry wire clip to my 1st gen Endura
I get the cheapie diamond file sets from Harbor Freight.
They work fine for limited time but they are cheap to replace.
A set might do 2 knives. Sometimes more.
I fileworked this Gen 4 SS Endura. Kept for a while and gave to grandson.
Just can't leave em alone. :D

I added a deep carry wire clip to my Gen 3 Endura
It works great.
Took it off a Native that I sold without a clip.
Look how the polished blade filework gleams in the light.
Woowee!

Re: Why VG10?
Because VG-10 will do EVERYTHING! Except provide a very few people with a subject to discuss about some NEW steel that won't do much of anything BETTER than VG-10 except be in new knives that companies try to sell on the premise that their newest offering is somehow better than VG-10 even though the...

Re: Is there any (I mean ANY) difference in VG-10
My Gen3 serrated Delica was sent to me BY Sal when I contacted him about my arthritic thumb not liking the hole position of the Native. Sal asked what I wanted to do with the knife and suggested and exchanged the Delica for the Native and I never have forgotten how much that showed how much he cares...

Re: Is there any (I mean ANY) difference in VG-10
I don't ...THINK.... I've sharpened the older ones more than the newer ones. In fact, I would...guess... just the opposite. The one I made into chisel grind doesn't sharpen any EASIER.... well yes I guess it does. But it is characteristic of the chisel grind itself. It's just thinner and the sharpen...

Re: Is there any (I mean ANY) difference in VG-10
I could buy "certain degree of variance" if it weren't so universal with the different generations. I have 4 "old" ones and 5 "new" ones and it is the same story for all of them. I have a new Delica FFG that I reprofiled to chisel grind and that one sharpens easily and ...

Re: Is there any (I mean ANY) difference in VG-10
But how would edge angle differ just between different versions?
The early ones seem to "take" the microbevel and it actually ...improves... the edge just as stated in the Sharpmaker video.
a mystery

Is there any (I mean ANY) difference in VG-10
as it was used in the older Spydies vs. the newer ones? I (and maybe I only) find the older VG-10 blades far easier to get a ...really... sharp edge on. Any difference at all in hardness? This is same user same sharpening system (Sharpmaker) same technique My gen3 Endura and 2 Delicas get hair poppi...

Edited as I misread the OP.
I don't care for the stainless Enduras and Delicas with the hollow grind.
