Re: Border control - Customs.
It's just funny to me how you can easily purchase an insanely sharp kitchen knife that will do way more damage than a dull China decoration. They made it seem like these were very dangerous weapons.

Border control - Customs.
I was watching a show on border control last night and had a WTF moment. It was Australia and NZ. The found a shipmint of prohibited items from China. Packages were labeled as " Decrative Swords and Knives " and that's exactly what was inside the boxes. Chinese junk wallhangers for nerds, ...

Here's my pair of Yamaha 1000's. Been riding since I was a kid in the early 80's. http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/R1-Dave/NewbikeFZ1068mod50_zps1e7adda0.jpg http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/R1-Dave/wheelies025c_zpsa778737b.jpg http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/R1-Dave/Garageb...

Re: Military or PM2 as all-around EDC? (if can pick just 1)
Like I said, maybe get both. They sell easily if you ever need to. The compression lock is superior in my opinion. PM2 is sized better for EDC as well. I EDC several Spyderco blades and like them all. My Superleaf is one of the best and most under appreciated blades, love it. Sage 3 CF is a sweet li...

By thin I meant the grind and fine tip. I would never pry with a pocket knife.

Re: Military or PM2 as all-around EDC? (if can pick just 1)
PM2 is a better knife. I love mine but it's not my choice for EDC. It's my EDDC ( Defensive ) but I don't think that style of blade is the best for daily cutting chores. It's a little thin for hard use. Get both, that's what I do when I can't decide.

Ahh so it is normal. This is the problem with ordering things without handling them first. I love the blade but I don't know if I can stand it being like that. Also, the pivot screw has brownish gunk on the threads, is that some kind of factory thread locker ? Thanks for the quick replies by the way !

Persian 2 question.....
Yesterday I received my new Persian 2 ( C83GP2 ) from my favorite knife dealer. I quickly opened it with high hopes for it to be my new EDC. I wasn't too happy with what I found. The blade was tough to get out. I sprayed it out with compressed air, lubed it and adjusted the pivot screw. This made li...

Forester !
Got my Forester today. Took a few basic shots of it with some of my other fixed blades. Don't worry, the SOG didn't touch it ! :D http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/R1-Dave/Weapons2012/005.jpg http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/R1-Dave/014.jpg http://i499.photobucket.com/albums/rr352/R1-...
