Wow that looks amazing!Leatherneck wrote:Meh, been done to death! Let's see some Micarta as it would be a first for a Para. Something like the stonewashed Micarta below along with M4 would make a very cool "working" knife.

Thanks for sharing. Would be great if you could share your further thoughts once you've tried it some more. Tan M4 Manix2.jpg Today I took my M4 Tan M2 and cleaned the pivot twice with Isopropyl Alcohol. After it dried I squirted in some Frog Lube. Worked it in quite a bit then coated the blade. Th...

As I mentioned, I use primarily Tuf-glide and Militec for protection and lubrication. But a friend of mine (who is an avid bicycler) told me he uses Finish Line Ceramic Wax Dry lube http://www.finishlineusa.com/products/ceramic_wax_lube.htm I've tried it on a couple of my knives, and it is interest...

I've never been courageous enough to wash my knives in water. I imagine the water staying between the liners and scales, and in the pivot, even after using a hair dryer on it. I'm not a big fan of iron oxide. I'm sure the people who do it don't have a problem. I use a can of compressed air and clea...

Depends upon what I am doing and the knife materials. Typically I clean the blade with either dish soap or rubbing Alcohol. I lube the pivot with tuff-glide. I really like the product because it doesn't attract lint, sand, etc. There for I end up having to clean the knife less. I have found that M4 ...

i listed 3v but 52100 or cpm m4 would also be great for me. I don't recall any production folder ever made in 52100. Pretty much everything else has been done before somewhere. I have a 3v strider smf for example. I like every steel on that list. I just like some more than others. Joe +1 For me 3V ...

I test the sharpness by splitting a hair, it has to be splitting hair (or popping one in half) with ease both ways as im an OCD sharpener :D . The other test I do is the 3 finger, I sharpen my edges semi polished rather than a full polish, that way I pass the 3 finger test, though I can get a polis...

A super Blue D'fly is possible, but I would guess that a larger blade would be better to take advantage of the slicing ability? sal A larger blade would be my preference! Yes. In addition, the Dragon fly lends itself more to utility stuff, and forgetting it on the bedside table. It's too much of a ...
