If Spyderco could get there hands on some, I'd prefer BG-42 over pretty much anything else. I'm sure there are other steels that are better on paper, but BG-42 is still my favorite steel based on my personal use. I'd still like the workman-like G-10 handles, though...

I have one of the CPM-M G-10/Ti Military knives on order (yes, deposit has been paid) and I want one of these too. In truth, I will only be keeping one of them. Before I get either in hand, I predict I will prefer the Para --- hands-down --- esp. if it is G-10 plus S90V (CPM-3V, my favorite "bi...

Black G-10
Mid-lock (pref.) or the Ball lock
4" S90V PE

I loved the old larger one so much -- I'd love to see a re-run (for old time's sake) on the same tooling....but this time with a PE S90V blade.

That depends on what you want from a fillet knife -- probably like you, I grew up using flexible blades that were soft and needed frequent resharpening. I have since met meny others who prefer a siffer and harder blade. I have used a BRKT Canadian Sportsman for a few years now and I love it. I origi...

Catcherman in H-1 -- any interest?

Fellow Spydie fans -- How many of you would want to get your hands on a Catcherman with an H-1 blade? http://www.spyderco.com/pix/products/large/C17BKE_L.jpg I have always liked the idea of the Catcherman, but lost my old one. Now that H-1 has proven itself so admirably, I would think that a re-rele...

Personally,

I'm hoping to see the following 3 knives come to fruition:

1) Black or Orange G-10 Para - S90V FFG PE
2) Black or Orange G-10 Native - S90V FFG PE
3) Orange G-10 Catcherman - H-1 PE

Sal (and crew), If you release this new one with Black G-10 and FFG/plain-edge S90V ... I'll buy at least 3 of them. This, and a FRN/S90V Stretch would be my perfect hard-use & light EDC folders (that is unless you bring back the full-size old-style Manix -- but this time with a FFG S90V blade. ...

That one reminds me of my first car -- a Chevy Sprint. With it's 0.9l engine (it was the grand-daddy to the Geo Metro), I couldn't even reach freeway speeds at the end of its life (tranny was going). Mine was tan with fake sheep's wool seat covers -- VERY CLASSY! ;)

After nearly a decade of watching other forums slip into the gutter, it is refreshing to see posts like Sal's here . Also, it seems espec...
