Salt steels for pool/chlorinated water.?
I was wondering now that MagnaCut has been out for a little while in the Spyderco lineup if anyone has experienced any differences when using MagnaCut knives and salts specifically in pool water compared to other salt steels? I’ve historically carried H1/2 or LC200N blades in swim trunks zippered po...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
Mine just showed up today (US), so thin and slicey, it’s great!
Very much looking forward to putting it to good use, thanks again for the heads up on the release :-)

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
Busy week since looking to try out some new salt stuff and figure out what works best. From one dealer Manix 2 LW Salt (MagnaCut) Dragonfly 2 Salt SE hawkbill (H2), Ladybug Salt SE (H1), Warncliff Salt 2 PE (LC200N). From the other a Spydiechef. That’ll probably be enough for a little while at least...

Re: Salt color differences
Hah.. learning something new every once in a while. I had somehow come to the understanding that all Golden LWs were FRCP. Anyhow, I also had similar concerns as you when I got my Native salt. The yellow color was noticeably different than the Seki salts I already owned. It is also my impression th...

Re: Salt color differences
That makes sense then if it’s not the same material (and Colorado vs. Seki City), thanks for the insight!

Salt color differences
Just curious, my Salts all come from authorized spyderco dealers so I’m not overly concerned about any of them not being genuine but I noticed my Native 5 SE in Magnacut is a slightly more orangey yellow color. Was there a change in color for the FRN scales on that model? Also I was thinking of pick...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!
@Nice marmot: Good post, Nice. I received an e-mail today from KnifeJoy asking me if I would be interested in buying another Slysz Bowie . . . . Same here, I received the notice last night asking if I was interested via the KJ+ program, said yes and received an offer today to pick one up so I did; ...
