Re: Why are the blade markings on Magnacut models so much lighter?
Thanks to those who replied so far, interesting perspectives. To explore this further I took out three knives and tried to take pictures of the blade markings for comparison. The knives are 1) Delica 4 K390 PE, 2) Salt 2 LC200N Wharncliffe SE, 3) Para 3 LW Salt Magnacut. It is tough to get good phot...

Why are the blade markings on Magnacut models so much lighter?
I tried searching the forum but didn't see much on this question: Why are the blade markings on Magnacut models so much lighter than non Magnacut models? I personally like them this way, and I'm curious if there's something unique about Magnacut that requires a different process that leads to the li...

Re: Dragonfly vs. Lil' Native
Price aside, I don’t think there’s any scenario where a Chaparral isn’t always superior to the Dragonfly. Better ergos, better blade, and super compact. Where the Dragonfly has always been a mini knife in a mini package the Chaparral is a full size knife in what seems as small as a Dragonfly packag...

Re: Delica size with fidget factor?
+1 for a Para 3 LW, it's just a little bigger than a Delica, has the compression lock, and now has a Salt version shipping.

Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!
For those who are concerned about pocket shred, but want to carry the knife anyway...any modifications possible? Could you fill in the grip troughs around the clip contact area with epoxy? Possibly sand the upper sharp tips of the grip squares a bit, at the clip contact area? Alternately, what othe...

Nice photo of a great collection!
I'm carrying the Salt 2 Wharncliffe SE in LC200N, which I think is the fourth knife down on the left hand side of this photo

Re: Tip Up vs Tip Down Poll
For me it's tip-up only. I'mm right-handed and always carry in my front right pocket with the blade against the edge of the pocket, so that's safest, easiest to draw and least problematic to use the pocket alongside the knife (no jimping or stray blade tips to hurt ya). Same^ I recently picked up a...

Re: Is there a quintessential Spyderco?
There’s probably a generational component to consider when answering this question The models that are the most widespread are probably the Delica, PM2 and Tenacious. So from there it depends on whom you ask. Anyone who’s either younger or more into flicky locks…THE Spyderco to them will probably b...

Re: The Magnacut Paramilitary 2
Mine was a little tight in the pivot on arrival but I’ve learned to leave it alone and it’ll loosen with use. Sure enough, it’s smoothed out over the past week and has great action now. That’s been my experience with a lot of coated blades and I’ve come to expect it. So the coating helps with the a...
