Re: Fishing

Yeah. It was just a rolly day afyer a storm. Big waves but really long wave inteval, so looks worse than it was. One of the daus where you can see fish swimming on the waves at eye level haha. I do fly and light tackle charters ( mostly fly), stripers, blues, albie, bonito, etc. Little bit of tuna s...

Re: What Spyderco Knife Has Surprised You the Most and Why

Manix 2 for me. I never got along with any knife that you unlocked from that position. Granted they were mostly "axis" style locks, but same applies. Finally got a manix, and pretty much. To my surprise fell in love with it. Also the pacific salt. More broadly, that it got me into spyderco...

Re: End of an Era

He is, but i doubt they go that direction. True dream scenario would be to get spags back, but unless KC has some sort of implosion. That wont happen. If they dont hire from within, Leslie frazier is a good option with dabolls history with him. Id also welcome antonio pierce back with open arms, if ...

Re: Fishing

Been working on updating my charter website, and going through some pictures from the last couple seasons... came across one of my favorites, a friend and great photographer, took of me with a client. Montauk during fall is a fun place haha https://i.postimg.cc/MG39qrcq/Screenshot-20221017-153151-In...

Re: End of an Era

My giants need a new defensive coordinator, maybe bill wants to retire with the team that gave him his first coordinator gig, and really got his career going.

Never gonna happen, but its a nice dream haha

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?

Well said, and i agree. As spyderco fans we are really spoiled. Countless models, handles, bladeshapes, steels, finishes, edges. Etc. There is litterally a knife for everyone, and yet i always come back to a delica. At work, in salt form, im always carrying a delica as my secondary knife (usually to...

Re: The Catcherman as a filet knife?

Don't have one, but looking forward to hopefully getting one. I likely wont use it as a filet knife, but itll have a pretty good gutting knife for fish i keep whole (porgy, seabass, etc), and a good bleeder for tuna. I like to do it with a thin blade, so something that i can fold up small, throw in ...

Re: Aqua salt still around?

Selfishly, i would love to see a sprint in it at somepoint. H2 with g10 handles instead of the frn, so new molds wouldnt have to be made. Ive been on the hunt for a full serrated a while.

Nice shot , love the background. MG2
Thanks, we had this hellish storm last night, but it broke around sunrise, and the sky turned super blue. Tough to tell in this shot but those waves were pushing 15ft. Thought it was a cool contrast between foaming whitewater a blue sky.

Re: Native 5 Lightweight - Lube pivot or not?

I do it, not sure how much of a difference it makes, action wise, but i think it helps corrosion. That seems to be the first area i get rust on my linerless models, so figured a little protection cant hurt.

More so distributer exclusive but the teal s90v from MGE distributers would be cool to see more of.

The fradon lock marbled carbon fiber with elmax woukd be cool too. Manix in both would be a no brainer for me.

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?

No length restrictions where i live in New York, and still enough of a fishing town that , outside of tourist season, no one cares if youve got a knife. I still carry 3-4 ". Even for work its plenty, but it also takes up less pocket space. I carry too much as is. at work. Any bigger of a knife ...
