Re: Crazy good deals - Europe edition

Folks, I just stumbled across this site (link below, Spydercos listed) - not sure what to think, though it smells "fishy" in way... https://www.rabatttaschenmesser.com/page/1/?s=spyderco&post_type=product Most Spydie prices are reduced, but to a usual / reasonable amount. But then the...

: :rofl

Just sharpening a pencil in that top photo.
Phew.
I thought you were dragging it through melted tarmac or something and permanently stained that lovely thing.

Re: Question for CruCarta PM2 owners

1. How easily does Cruwear rust? I live about 2 miles from the Mediterranean coast where it's quite warm (doesn't snow in winter, damnit!), and I sometimes like to carry my knives IWB. I'm not a particularly corrosive person, though. Not very easily. I live in the SF Bay Area in California, which i...

Re: Question for CruCarta PM2 owners

I’ve had Cruwear show surface rust just from being carried in my pocket on a hot summer day. Was the Cruwear oiled? That does sound a bit worrying. (Also, are you a corrosive person or is Cruwear just that rust prone?) Am I a corrosive person? Well, depending on who you ask… :grin-squint Kidding bu...

Re: Question for CruCarta PM2 owners

The Crucarta PM2 is an incredible model. Personally the "fuzzy" Micarta is different than most Canvas Micarta you experience from other makers. Feels like soft cloth. It does not have that hard rough feel. I prefer the latter, but the softer feel on this model is nice too. I would not wor...

Re: Question for CruCarta PM2 owners

I like it. In my sweaty pockets where K390 doesn't do so well, Cruwear still hasn't even shown a hint of patina or rust in the 9 months or so I've been carrying it. I do cut food with it, but I make sure to stay away from the pivot when cutting and rinsing both. Old habits. The micarta is fairly sm...

Question for CruCarta PM2 owners

Hello all! Here's couple of questions about the Cruwear Micarta PM2 since I do not have the fortune of having a knife store near me. I love the classy look and don't really plan on customizing it--This is only a couple of questions on the functionality of the knife: 1. How easily does Cruwear rust? ...

I’ve heard Golden Colerado is quite pleasant.
Colorado in general is quite pleasant!
Went there once and loved it. Man, for me rural America is another level of fantastic.

Re: Is the PM2 too big for my tiny hands or not?

Just out of interest - what are you planning on using it for? My intended tasks for the day dictate what knives go into my pockets. Mostly going to be some household fruit-cutting and other light duty tasks. Occasionally I like to whittle but the ergos of my Swiss Army Knife is getting annoying for...

Re: Is the PM2 too big for my tiny hands or not?

Thanks for all that feedback! I’m leaning somewhat towards a PM2 now. Another question: People who own the CruCarta model, is handle flex a big issue for you? And to those who own DLC PM2s, do the coating interfere with the action? Since I live in an area with very, very few brick ‘n mortar knife st...

Re: Is the PM2 too big for my tiny hands or not?

Plus: Differently to Para 3 to PM2, the Delica (roughly Para 3 size range) has also a thinner and less tall (not only SHORTER) handle than the Endela (roughly PM2 size range). So the Delica could be an option for you if you want a substantially "smaller" handle than the Para 3 has regardi...

Welcome to the forum PolarCatus! You're probably going to end up with both :)
Lawd my slim wallet is not ready for this!
From my lurkings on this forum this fate seems inevitable… But the Paramilitary 2 (and the para 3) seems lost without me!

Is the PM2 too big for my tiny hands or not?

Thinking of buying my first spyderco at around Christmas, and am now seriously torn between the PM2 and Para 3. Both, as far as I know, are great knives. I’d prefer the length of the PM2 (in my area these two are priced equally), however my hands are tiny tiny. The width of my four fingers clocks at...
