Re: MangaSlice - The Next Breakthrough in Knife Steel

Honestly can't wait for WaifuWear to drop. Such an exciting time in steels we get to live in.

Re: A step into the modern world with the Lil Native / thoughts

I think people pass on the Lil Native because of the price, but it is a fantastic little harder use knife. I started out a large knife person and dont have any restrictions where I live. The Lil Native frequently finds it's way into my pocket over others. In my normal day to day there's rarely a tim...

Re: Which steel for my next knife? (Lil' Native)

Own 3 Lil Natives and love them. For me and the edges I run S30v, S45VN, and 20cv arent different enough to make a strong case to chose one over the other. 20cv does have great corrosion resistance but my knives arent in a position for it to matter. You may want to wait a couple of days till knife j...

Re: Is this the knife everyone clamors for?

I was able to snag a Manix 2 backlock off eBay last year. For me it is Spyderco's most perfect knife. The lock snaps into place harder than most any Cold Steel yet is still easy to disengage, and it's definitely the most comfortable Manix 2 in hand. The lack of the handle/liner jimping lets you trul...

Include me in the camp of enjoying my Native 5's, but thinking the Native Chief isn't my ideal bigger version.

Re: New Manix 2 with Uneven Bevel

I honestly thought for years asymmetrical bevels were supposed to be that way because nearly every knife has them. Agreed that pics would help determine if it's outside the realm of acceptable. I feel like the leaf shape also lends itself more to slight asymmetry at "just the tip." Has any...

Re: Hawkbill Lil Native

Always thought the Lil Native would be a perfect knife with a recurved Cricket style blade. Never crossed my mind to have a hawkbill blade, I could be into that too. Hawkbill Lil Native with serrated CruWear would be a monster of a little knife.

Re: Sal, a handle forward Lil Native?

Please make it a wharnie though if possible like the Rockjumper and the LN wharnie. Microjimbo has entered the chat. Could a leaf/drop point blade be put on the more neutral handle shape of the microjimbo? Or is the microjimbo handle only capable of supporting the low tip placement of a wharncliffe?

Re: What is your favorite Delica variant?

I don't care much for the standard blade shape, for whatever reason the tip of the knife seems to be at a really awkward spot relative to my grip on the knife. The wharncliffe blade though solves a lot of that in my uses, shame so many variants got disco'd. I don't own one yet but I think the hap40 ...

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

On a side note I would also like for this to come in something else than m390. K390, MagnaCut, s90v would all be my preferences over m390, but m390 is ok too lacking other choices. x2 With the m390 steel I would have bought it knowing it was always going to be a catch and release knife. I do apprec...

Re: S110v to delicate more of a safe queen???

I really like S110v and I think it's really cool that Spyderco keeps it as a regular offering. For my uses I basically view it as the top edge retention salt series steel. I haven't had any problems with it but I am however more conscious of what I'm doing when I'm using it. My S30v Native 5 has a m...

https://www.etsy.com/shop/CtoCWoodworks?ref=profile_header After doing a ton of searching around for a cutting board to give as a gift I placed a custom order from this Etsy shop. The guys name is David and if you don't like any of his standard boards he's more than happy to do something custom both...

Bagsy?! Are you from the UK too? While I did just finish the latest season of Taskmaster, I'm from the states. I fell down a rabbit hole of UK slang after reading you're Grafter explanation. I only recently heard whinge a few months ago. Instead of bagsy we'd say "I call" or "dibs&qu...

However, after reading a post (on a reputable retailer's website) that claimed their CS model eventually became useless due to lock wobble (I believe this happened in about 3 years) I began to wonder if --- A) CS is prioritizing toughness over the appropriate hardness in their locking mechanisms B)...

Re: Upping the price.

Being patient and buying things 2nd hand or on sale is the way of the world if you're not in the more money than brains club. If you don't want to or can't wait, then paying full retail is the convenience charge. The real question is what do all of these knives cost wholesale and how much is wholesa...

^Dont listen to that guy. Looks legit to me. Can't imagine someone taking the time to counterfeit a Damascus blade and titanium handles and getting everything correct. Your box and packaging looks correct for the JDM knives. Here's a thread to easy your mind. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php...

Re: Different knife different day, or one knife for life?

I have a main edc that gets carried everyday. I keep a Leatherman Supertool 300 in my truck but my knife will inevitably end up as a screwdriver, wire stripper/cutter, or scraper before I get to it. My edc will get loaned out without asking what needs to be cut, it may not survive it may not comebac...
