Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!

As far as dimensions, I compared one of my chiefs to my endura and eyeballing it, it looks like the chief has about 5-6mm more blade but at least half of that is choil, probably only 2-3mm more edge. The chief also looked 2-3mm longer closed. Close enough that it would be difficult for me to tell t...

Re: Where Have all the Calys Gone?

Well, I have a Caly 3, a 3.5, and a Centofante 3&4 as well as a few current production folders (well, maybe more than a few). What would you like to see compared? I was thinking of the Caly's and Centofante's along side current spyderco models such as the para 3, endura, stretch 2, delica, etc....

Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!

Thank you. The chief blade is not as tall as I imagined it to be and that’s a good thing for pocket carry. What a beautiful clean blade shape . when it folds up it's more compact than most other models in its size range too. Here is that same set when closed. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/534...

That looks great, Dan! But, you have me rethinking the new Sage 5 LW. That "Chap with a real lanyard hole" looks very tempting. :rofl

Re: Maxamet Sage 5 LW Discussions

I was originally planning to skip this one, but am now rethinking it. I don't have a Sage, don't have Maxamet, and don't have this pattern FRN. Hmmm.

Re: EXTREMELY disappointed with Spyderco. Update: Resolved!

I won’t post anymore. don't do that. I agree. For one, I'm glad you posted your experience. It's good for us to be reminded that no person (or company) is perfect and that mistakes can happen. It is also good for us to see the quality of Spyderco customer service and how they are making it right. T...

Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!

I am curious to see some comparison pictures of the lightweight chief next to similar sized spydies like the endura, mili, Caribbean etc. While my Chief is not LW, this is a comparison I can make of similar sized knives to those mentioned: Chief, Stretch 2 XL, Endura, Caribbean, PM2 https://live.st...

Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!

How do you like your M390 Chief? I like it. As expected, it's a decent slicer. Mine is still on the factory edge. With kind of low usage, it hasn't needed a sharpening yet. It's a nice change to not always have the thumb ramp. My usual carry have a bit smaller blade, but this makes a good backup in...

For yet another comparison, here is a Caly 3.5 along with a bunch of different Spydies. If you need some isolated comparisons of any of these, let me know.

I don´t think owners of the HP Delica will have to pay taxes anymore. I am sure that knife will find a way to end this.
Next thing, you'll be telling us we have to be "worthy" somehow, but the knife decides. Maybe it's related to Thor's hammer. :eye-roll :')

Re: Gayle Bradley 2 Cru-Wear vs Gayle Bradley 2 M4

The CF on the GB2 is closer to the Watu's CF. Slightly smoother and glossier than others. Not slick, but not as grippy as G10 either. Personally, for CF I prefer something similar to the Smock or Sliverax that has a sharper texture and less gloss. Thanks for that comparison. I had been wondering ab...

Re: A copper spyderco

I like the bare copper since it will change a lot with use. These are all the same Blade HQ PM2. Current rolling back to when it first started changing. ... That's a cool progression. Thanks for showing it. If the weight of full copper is an issue, could there be a copper clad material? That would ...

Re: You Don’t Know What You Got ’Til It’s Gone

Just sharing for fun, I attempted to sketch design a temperance, after about an hour of refining here’s what it currently looks like. I added a bolster on mine, what do you all think? A bolstered temp ? I think that would be cool. Very nicely done. Just wondering... Since there is a bolster, perhap...

Re: A copper spyderco

Folks know there's copper in this right? https://www.spyderco.com/pix/products/large/C152RN_L.jpg That's what I first thought of also. The Raffir Noble has the brass and copper mesh in it. However, if you look at the (top) open image, the handle has a lot of dark in it and, perhaps, not enough 'cop...

Re: Next Spyderco?

After a bit of pondering, here is my queue for what might be next (until I change my mind again). :rofl In no particular order... Sliverax - It looks interesting enough to try it before it disappears. I like the handle forward look and don't mind flippers. Fidget friendly is nice. Lil' Native warnie...

Try r/knifeswap or bladeforums knife exchange…I’ve bought and sold boatloads of knives on these two platforms…if you need any help private message me…I won’t be able to get back w/you until I finish working which is usually like 6-6:30 ET 👊 I was going to mention BladeForums also, though I have not...

Re: Next Spyderco?

Linerlock? Military or GB2. That is a some of my gaps there. Linerlock, hollow ground blade, and maybe some different steels. So, I've been pondering the GB2. But, I'm still thinking about the upcoming Bodacious also. Perhaps I need more than one more. :winking-tongue I don't see a framelock or CTS...

the green areas are translucent but the black areas are not. They're black, even held up to a light. Thanks for confirming. I'll consider the jade GB2 knowing I can black it out if desired. The Sliverax mentioned before is another possible and I'm considering a few others as well, Cricket SE, Yojim...

Re: Mystery Box

Wasn't the two knife mystery box like $250? If so I doubt they'll have a Paysan or Drunken. Both of those were $315 each Was there a mention of both knives being at the same level? I don't remember that. If not, it's possible for there to be one second of a higher level knife along with another sec...
