Re: Show off your Mule team scales!
Purple Heart Mule scales on my 15v Mules. I made the folder slightly thinner than the fixed Mule just to make it a little nicer in the pocket. I also decided to hide the pivot and standoff hardware to make the folder look more like the fixed blade when open. I didn’t have enough 4-40 screws to moun...

Re: What knife do you actually carry and use the most?
The Kapara is what's in my pocket almost every day. I own a lot of great knives, but there's just something special to me about the Kapara.

Re: Mystery Box
I'm late to the party, but is the point of buying a mystery box, to resell it? Is that the primary reason they're bought? I'm so picky about knives I can't imagine forking over $400 for unknown knives to add to my collection. Any internet feeding frenzy like this you can bet that most of the buyers...

If that's what you got in a $400 box you should call spyderco. Theyll probably make it right.ramblinwreck wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 11:48 amMy $400 box has four knives that don’t even add up $250. Not one “premium” knife.

Re: Red & Black Holiday Sale!
Smooth no issues, got a Mystery Box for $250 containing at least 2 knives one guaranteed to be an elite Spirit Run. The combined value of all items in the box will equal or exceed the price of the box. Hope so because the 15v Shamans were $105 in store so that would be $145 for another second non s...

Only $10-$30 more than the AUS-10A version from what I have seen. Seems worth the extra cash to me.

Re: cold steel mayhem!
What Metal Complex was saying is that it was the largest knife that was still easy to manipulate (fidget) with its lock mechanism where you only need to pull back on as well as the other forms of opening. This was the last straw that made me want to get one. I think it could make a decent food prep...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!
Is elastic ceramic as fragile as a normal ceramic blade? Meaning if it's dropped, it could break? I've been using this stuff in 3 kitchen knives for 2 years. Never had to sharpen them and no chips. It seems pretty durable for normal kitchen use. As for dropping it I guess it would depend on what yo...

Re: Reveal 14 Live!
I'm really excited about the mule. I bought some kitchen knives made out of this stuff a couple of years ago and they hold an edge really well. They're not as tough as steel, but they are actually flexible, which is a game changer for ceramic knives. Pete did some testing on these on his Cedric and ...

Re: Sharpening stone(s) for a relative newbie?
I'll second the recommendations for the King stone. I hope you're a patient person (and have cheap practice knives) because it's going to take a lot of practice getting good. If you haven't subscribed to BBB's channel on youtube I would highly recommend it. He has a wealth of interesting info includ...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
You can’t be serious. This was the worst internet customer experience I’ve ever encountered. This was not their first rodeo, yet Spydie fans allow this to repeatedly happen. I believe this was the first online 2nds sale. This isn't a black friday sale, this is the company doing us a solid instead o...

Re: Spyderco Seconds Sale Scores
Most of my knives are safe queens that will be passed down to my kids and grandkids. I've been a youtube follower of BBB for years now so I was thrilled to get the 15V series knives, but they all went straight in the safe. Today i was able to get the manix 2 15V, and PM2 15V, 2 of my favorite models...

Hi Kaparaman, Welcome to our forum. If someone has a problem with one of our knives, we will generally make it right. Bitchin' about it on a public forum does raise some questions :thinking The issue of "Flipping". good, bad, ethical, etc. is not going to be solved here. You each have you...
