I think part of the problem is spyderco knives are designed around the gradual sweep of the leaf shaped blade. So the quick turn up of the end of a tanto point would not sit as well in the handle of many designs

Tasman is also a wonderful serrated cutter. Due to its curve it slices like nuts

Thats a great post Mike. Perhaps you could self publish the book in digital format online? Maybe add a few chapters onto it to add updates for the more modern designs you mentioned? I had bought a pair of the razorback boots from jim green back in september, been holding off on a review till ive worn them. Really excellent boot. The natural rubber sole has big lugs that grip well on the rocks here in wyoming. Wore them hunting quite a few days with my dog, and wear them anytime...

Here in wyoming there are no laws regulating style or size of knives for owning or carrying. Id suggest leaving the states run by over bearing dictators.
