Re: What’s your preference and what do you use it for?
Quite honestly. I only like 3 or 4 Spyderco knives. Endura is my hands down favorite. My favorite would have been the Native Chief. But the choil takes away over an inch of blade edge. Which makes the blade a bit shorter than the Endura. I would like to see Spyderco do the 5 inch blade folder again ...

Re: Spyderco Collaborators You Would Love to See Again?
I swear we did this thread a couple of months back... So many good choices in this thread! I'd like Spyderco to no longer give the cold shoulder to designers who went on to work with other manufacturers. It seems unwise to cut off one's own nose to spite their face. I would think it would be a good...

Re: Spyderco Collaborators You Would Love to See Again?
I would like to see a collaboration with Bob Lum as I liked his Past Tanto folder design he did with Spyderco. As far as fixed blades. I would choose Phil Wilson as I really like the Bow River I own. Even if it is only 8CR13MOV. I actually would love to see more budget fixed blades from Spyderco/Phi...

Re: If you could have any knife in magnacut, why would you opt for another steel?
I opt for other steels for various reasons. 1. Certain characteristics one may have. 2. Because I refuse to believe everything else sucks except for Magnacut or the next big thing. 3. To upset and piss off Magnacut or steel of the month sycophants. 4. Because I want to try other steels of my own acc...

Re: Men's Belts?
Wide belts, watch bands and wrist bands without a watch, in black leather and sporting a double row of holes were definitely a thing in the mid to late 70s as I recall. Nothing inherently wrong with that style, I just didn't love it then and had no choice but to wear it... I actually appreciate you...

Re: Jim Green boots?
I wear 5:11 tactical boots and Doc Martens. I like light boots and not gonna lie. I am into trendy boots as opposed to quality. I also had bunion surgery. So I prefer comfort over heavy durability. The boots I hate the most are Red Wings. Heavy as in wearing bricks and the most uncomfortable torture...

Re: Good Jeans
I wear Levis because they are not part of the right wing conspiracy trend. Wrang!ers, Duluth, and Carharts are too right wing red neck for my taste.
There are denim snob companies that make 22 to 40 ounce denim. Screw that lol.Way too stiff and heavy. Jeans wear out. Buy more lol

Re: Locks
My thought on locks.
Don't like liner locks.
Don't like frame locks.
Never tried ball bearing lock or compression lock.
I like the ABLE lock from Hogue.
I also like the Deadbolt lock.
And I like back locks which comprise 75% of my current knives. Probably my favorite.

Re: What's your LEAST favorite of all your favorites?
I love my police 3 SE but it is a specialty live for outdoors and hunting. My reasons are a bit goofy for most to understand. I don't buy or collect Police, Marine, recon, Swat, Search and rescue, or Seal knives. I just feel like a poseur and disrespectful of those in specialty professions who serv...

Yeah $616 is a bit too much. May be great people. But no thanks. The Deacon wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 5:12 amIf you want one badly enough, Country Knives has the Respect in stock. They're great people, but be prepared for sticker shock as they sell everything at MSRP.

Just wondering if the Respect Bowie has been discontinued or will be re released by a certain date or rough timeline? I am really wanting to own one.

So much for my Otanashi frame lock fix.
Well my knife lasted a week before I could slip the lock by a gentle tap of the spine on the palm of my hand. So much for my last ditch fix. I tried cleaning out the frame lock cut out and back connection to lock of the blade with a Q tip soaked in alcohol. No dirt or grease. And no success. I guess...

Re: What Are ya Dipping?
I quit about 4 years ago after almost developing mouth cancer. Been chewing motor eggs to this day.
Dipping is extremely addictive and one habit I regret taking up as a kid. Neck my grandparents are the reason I started it. They would buy me Red Man tobacco then upgrade me to SKOAL.

Re: Just for fun, who here is NOT on social media?
I'm not, at least not the big ones like FB, Twitter, instagram etc. I participate on a few forums, and like 3 discord servers. That's about it. When I was 16 or so, before I got my 1st smartphone, I promised myself I would never join any social media. And I never did. I really hate social media, I ...
