Re: Experienced Serrated Edge K390 users wanted.

Oh, and as for k390 SE, I haven’t had any issues with the tips of the serrations. I do knock them down a bit with a diamond plate before I sharpen them though, so they’re more of a wavy set of peaks than spikes. I do that to all of my SE blades before I use them for the first time after I noticed m...

Re: Caribbean: it’s that time of year again…

Getting ready to head out to the jetties and hopefully land a Ling Cod! So the serrated Caribbean is next to me, and I'm thinking...is this the greatest knife ever made? The odd handle design put me off originally - I even considered dying it. But now - I love everything about this knife, yellow an...

Looks like a saw to me.
That’s just it. If it has the same serrations as the Caribbean, it won’t be. If it’s like the salt 2, then yeah. I never realized how much this mattered before. The fully serrated Caribbean cuts so wonderfully

Re: Native Chief LW full serrations

Did not have time to look into the new Reveal yet, but THAT is great already!!! :smlling-eyes FRN, light, backlock, for me perfect general EDC size and FULL SE with great serration pattern as far as it can be seen. I am in 100% agreement with you. And I have to thank Evil D. If it wasn’t for his po...

Re: Native Chief LW full serrations

I love it and want it. Are the serration pictures necessarily representative of the actual serrations in general though? The way they are ground, I assume they vary from knife to knife, even within the same model line. I am hoping they are. I don’t think they vary much within the same model, at lea...

Native Chief LW full serrations

7F676B84-BFBC-4DAC-95EF-A945857E53EA.png I know my picture quality is terrible, but I just saw this pic in the reveal. It sure looks to me that this has the same or very similar serration pattern to the Caribbean. The serrations don’t look as pointy as they do on some other models and seem more rou...

Re: Military 2 (PRE-ORDER) posted on KnifeCenter $196

The Paramilitary was designed to be a smaller version of the military. The PM2 was a design change of the paramilitary, which was not identical in size but definitely close enough. I could care less what they call it. They are not discontinuing the military so I’m confused as to why anyone cares whe...

Re: Spyderco Caribbean on Sale

My fully serrated Caribbean is not only my favorite BBQ and food prep folder. It’s becoming one of my favorite folders all together. I normally switch up carry folders a lot but this thing has been kicking everything else out of the pocket. People often ask what you would pick if you could only carr...

Re: Salt Lc200n food prep

Agree that you are fine to use that in the kitchen, even if neglected. Since recommendations are being made, take a look at the Caribbean with full serrations while they are still around. Best serrations on a knife I have ever used and quickly becoming my go to spydie for most occasions.

Re: I prefer the Native Chief Over the Millie.

I have never sold knives online yet. Only to friends here and there. I know if I had there are many blades I would regret selling. That st nick chief has its spot in my collection even though the m390 chief is the one I really use. I do foresee some future use for the st nick chief. I’m sure you wil...

Re: Loctite vs Not?

Blue loctite, always. Often I even apply one right when I receive a Seki knife, cause some had body-, clip and one time even the pivot screw come loose and fall out after a short period of use and carry. Agreed. I had a pivot screw lost on a salt 2 when clipped to my swim suit in El Salvador. After...

Re: I prefer the Native Chief Over the Millie.

I agree and prefer the chief over the military. I initially had no desire for the chief but pulled the trigger on a st nick exclusive. Once I got it I loved it and then got a brown m390 chief as well. It’s definitely become a favorite of mine. I also slightly prefer it to my G10 police 4. I’m curiou...

Re: MagnaCut in Seki knives

Let’s say they make a delica or any standard model in magnacut and keep they same liners they are currently using. Maybe it just wouldn’t be a salt knife. The Caribbean has stainless liners, which are not rust proof like LC200N. This knife is part of the salt series but maybe the liners used are mo...

Re: K390 Worth it?

My first knife in K390 was a police 4. This one came with a not so great edge that was wider than the 40 degree set up on the sharpmaker. I tried to initially reprofile on the diamond rods with no success. So I took the edge down with a wicked edge pretty easily. Took a fantastic edge. Once the edge...

Re: It’s time for a Police LW Salt!!

I would love one SE LC200N if it was linerless and had a serration pattern similar to the Caribbean. What a cutter that would be.
