Re: Poll: Any Interest for Hitachi White MULE?!

Heck yeah. And I'd have selelected the option for "both" if that had been on the poll.

Re: Lanyard tube sizes

I was under the impression the Manix 2 tube is slightly different than the para 2/3. Maybe a difference in the tube length between the liners… Many of the sellers of the plugs list them separately by model, which was one reason I worried that there might be small differences in size. And indeed, th...

A light golden-sandy brown colour would contrast nicely if that’s your bag.
That's very different from what I had been thinking, but I can imagine it and like it. I like it a lot.

Re: Experience/Opinion on Skiff FingerBit?

Yeah, but he didn't say he found red Locktite, only that it kicked his butt for two months. Right. To clarify: the Military did not have red loctite on any of its hardware. There was blue loctite on all of it, but that didn't cause me any problems. The problem was that the four screws in the handle...

Yes, they’re the same size. I get mine from BladesWeLove, tubes and plugs — they all work great.

Lanyard tube sizes

A question for anyone who knows, or has the gear to measure precisely: is the lanyard tube on the Military 2 the same size as the tube on the PM2, PM3, and/or Manix 2? They sure look like they're the same size but experience has taught me that eyeballs are not sufficiently precise measuring tools wh...

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..

My Military 2 after 27 minutes in a very potent solution--3.5 cups water to 7 oz of dye--of Tropical Teal Rit Synthetic. I was worried that the color would be too light for the digi camo scales, so I didn't dilute the dye very much, and then I just kept on a'simmerin' until they picked up the color....

Experience/Opinion on Skiff FingerBit?

Has anyone ever used one of these: https://www.skiffmadeblades.com/products/fingerbit-aluminum-vapor-honed Or if you haven't actually used one but you're mechanically minded with a better imagination than me, would you care to hazard a guess as to it's utility and effectiveness? I looks to me like i...

Urbanandedcsupply.com

Came across this website whilst browsing for Chris Reeves knives. They list a truly impressive selection of knives from different brands and custom makers--over 20 pages of them, ALL in stock, apparently. The Spydercos start here: https://www.urbanedcsupply.shop/product-category/knife/page/18/ And i...

Suingab does amazing work. https://g10.lt/ I was going to make a post to ask about any personal Suingab experiences. The website photos look fantastic, but with estimates rather than set pricing, ordering via email, international shipping, etc., I just wanted to hear from someone who had ordered fr...

Re: Handle Scale Vendors

I just bought a set of Endura scales with which I'm extremely pleased from gentleman named Dmytro, who has a shop on Etsy called DHCustomKnives. He does Endura and Matriarch scales in micarta--I got the denim--for $35 or $39 with the backspacer, and free shipping from the Ukraine. He also offers sca...

Can't loosen the screws on my Military 2

Anyone have any suggestions or advice? I cannot get any of the four screws in the body of my new Military 2 unscrewed. That is, the ones on both side of the handle in the two barrel spacers. I'm using a T8 Wiha driver, and I'm no expert, but I've taken apart plenty of knives, and by far more Spyderc...

Re: Straight Forward Comments About Spyderco's From Another Forum

That's funny. I immediately loved the look of the first Spyderco knife I saw--a Tenacious in a Walmart, of all places--sitting on a shelf next to a bunch of boring looking Buck, Camillus, and no-name discount knives. I could see just by looking at the picture of the Tenacious on the box that it was ...

Re: River's Edge PM2

Mine arrived today and I like the colorway much more IRL than in the online photos. Wishing I'd grabbed some of the others now. Knife was perfect out of the box. My thoughts as well, except, as Mr. Subverto mentioned, I also had the worst lock stick I've ever seen on a PM2, or any Spyderco actually...

Re: River's Edge PM2

This is the coolest colored exclusive Spyderco has ever done, so I had to grab one despite not being a big fan of 204P. I've never heard anyone say they're not a fan of 204P. Do you mean you're not a fan of 204P compared to 20CV and/or M390, or do you just not like any of those types of steel? And ...

Re: So excited for this drop!!!!

I was seriously considering picking up the GPK Manix LW, but I decided instead to buy a BHQ Yojumbo exclusive. Saw today that GPK still had the Manix LWs in stock and again seriouly considered buying one, but while I was trying to decide if I really needed another knife with Rex 45 blade steel, and ...

Re: M4 Yojumbo

Interesting. Mine arrived today, also without coated liners, but that didn't seem odd to me because I have both a BHQ PM2 and Shaman with dlc black blades and the liners on those are uncoated. Out of curiosity, I dug out the paperwork from the PM2 and the Shaman, and neither mention anything about c...

they're shipping out today. fast service as usual from BHQ! Hope to see a Military 2 someday!!! For the life of me I can't remember why I didn't...m...

Re: Elastic Ceramic. Wow!

Most definitely going to have to buy two or three ceramic mules--one to use, one to keep for the collection, and one to sell at an obscene mark up on ebay at some point in the future. Just have to make sure to sell it before the hypothetical product reveal in which Spyderco announces the upcoming re...
