Re: Upping the price.
I guess we could lower our prices; We could pay our crew less, take away their benefits, drop CQI, eliminate the Mule team project, stop supporting our Troops, Law enforcement, First Responders, our community. Stop printing catalogs, use cheaper materials and reduce our tolerances. Eliminate bonus'...

Thank you for the quick return! I didn’t realize how much I missed my daily reading of the Spyderco forum till now. It’s comforting and feels like home.

Re: Which Past Mule Teams Would You Like to See Repeated?
My thinking on this continues to evolve, but at this point I think Damascus is the one I really would like to play with. I've always seen Damascus blades as 'pretty not functional' and I'd be very interested in doing abusive testing on one to see how well it held up. I like. But I think the Damascu...

Had to post another photo. BEST MAIL DAY EVER! Fisher space pen refills for my EDC pen, 5 lb bag of gummi bears, THE STORY OF KNIFE STEEL by Larrin Thomas, and Rockjumper SE knife. That and my wife is leaving today for a 3 day conference. So gummies and lots of good reading uninterrupted.

Why are they discontinuing this knife? It is wicked sharp right out of the box. I went to touch the blade and it felt like it just wanted to suck my finger right in to the bone, didn’t do it but wow it’s sharp.

Beautiful day in the backyard making safety straps for bookcases from an old belt. Oh and occasionally being allowed to chuck the ball.

I’d get one only because of FOMO, it’s a real thing. But you all are masochist requesting this one. It’s gonna be painful sharpening this one.

Re: Upping the price.
Personally I blame Sal and Spyderco. If they only made 2 or 3 good knives this would be easy. But they had to go and make hundreds of knives that I want, totally their fault and they knew what they were doing. :rofl ain't that the truth. i want five knives from the last reveal, most of which still ...

Re: Upping the price.
Spyderco does a wonderful job of creating opportunities for us to get amazing opportunities to experience various super steels. As it has been stated before they don’t make a lot of money off of the mules but they still do it. They also make it easy to get great quality knives for cheaper through th...

Re: Smaller Mule
Try getting the mule 2 SPY27 and grinding it down. It’s cheaper than the other mules, made of a high quality steel and honestly quite easy to modify. I finished modifying one a while ago and now I just need to put scales on it. That’s been delayed because I’m currently in the process of moving.

Re: T15 tarnish
To me the patina and scratches are just part of the journey that a knife takes. It tells a story that can be seen at a glance. I never liked carbon steel before I got involved with the Spyderco mules but I’ve come to prefer it because I can’t wait to see the next gradual change in the color of the n...

Re: Poll: Any Interest for Hitachi White MULE?!
Having a few kitchen knives in shirogami (White steel), I've come to appreciate it and think it would be very interesting to see the patinas that would develop on a Mule. Doubly so for a Blue #1 or Superblue version. Most of my purchases lately have been carbon steel knives and I love them because ...

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
So if I’m reading this right lc200n or vg10 are recommended for those getting into SE blades? Rockjumper or leafjumper?. Every time I attempt to buy an SE knife I end up getting plain edge. I have bad memories of sharpening a SE/PE tanto knife. The multiple bevels and the SE area made it a pain. Plu...

Re: Poll: Any Interest for Hitachi White MULE?!
Prior to Spyderco I wouldn’t even consider carbon steel or high carbon/hi alloy steel knives. My experience with carbon steel was a Case Trapper knife that my grandfather gave me and it was a patina/rust magnet. Yeah I was clueless on maintaining it. Now my favorite knives are the carbon steel knive...
