Re: Knife that screams liner lock got the compression lock - why?
I wasn’t born a lefty, but I’m mostly a lefty now due to injuries. I find right handed comp locks the easiest to use and liner Locks the hardest. I thought about getting a lefty PM2, but I’m so use to doing the right handed one left handed, I don’t see the point. I tend to steer away from liner lock...

The material may be great, but that color…. Looks like dehydration to me… are there other brighter options?

Re: Forum Update/Maintenance & Move - PLEASE READ
For some reason the entire forum has been marked as read…. Annoying. Wasn’t that way earlier this morning.
Not a big fan of gray on gray, but looks like a successful update…
I remember doing this on my site several times years ago…. Lots of worrying and preparation goes into this kind of project.

Re: new coating coming!
I have, in my old age, found an appreciation for coated blades. The sudden burst reflection off uncoated blades is blinding for a few seconds. I never cared for coatings previously. However I now prefer a coating on all my ‘user’ blades, but not for the usual reasons. Wish I could get some of my old...

I’m getting the idea a lot of people, like me, are waiting for the SPY27…. Could this be a wake up call for Eric to order more SPY27?

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
Maybe, mark all knives made in Golden during that calendar year with a 50th mark. And make a 50th anniversary specific model/make-over for the elite/collector?

Re: Cricket Lightweight
Personally I would rather have the current Cricket continue to languish, as to have the blade shape corrupted. It is unique and doesn’t deserve to be turned into just another smallish knife, of which there are literally 100s on the market….

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
As for a PE/SE set… that lets me out… really won’t be forced to buy a knife I do not want just to get a knife I do.
I do wonder if SE blades start out as PE seconds?…. Kinda makes sense from a manufacturing stand point.
Anyway… I want a way to opt out of the SE version.

Re: Weird streaks/scratch in DLC?
Looks like it was pulled through a power sharpener without taping the blade. This happens on non-coated blades as well if not taped.

Re: Cricket Lightweight
I have an aluminum scaled that I bought in 1994…. Whatever the coating that was used was has held up fantastically. I carried it unprotected in my “non-key” pocket for many many years. The faces have no penetrating scratches just expected loss on the very edges. The black clip has also survived thou...
