Re: Invitation to the 16th Spyderco Meet in Amsterdam
There’s no reason to be so disrespectful. You’ve stood out in this regard over the past week that you’ve increased posting here. Spyderco makes the rules for the event that they go through the extensive effort to host. You address my "disrespect" yet you ignore my point. Interesting. What...

Please note , ... and swapping of articles of any kind during the event. Photography and/or video of any kind is also not allowed. lol... who makes these utterly pointless, arbitrary rules? No photography? No swapping of "articles of any kind" Really? Good lord. Talk about a party. :party...

Just out of curiosity... Why Amsterdam? They aren't exactly known for being knife-friendly.

Re: Is this authentic? co41
The lack of a Spydie hole should've been a dead giveaway... they always put it on their knives, even fixed blades. They have NEVER used a thumbstud. That's sacrilege right there. They've used thumbstuds on more than one occasion. ;) The Vallotton and Lil Subhilt both use what could be considered th...

That police is as fake as a $3 bill. $31 is a rip off.

Re: Ganzo copy/counterfeit
Aside from being a folding knife in the same general shape, this has no similarities whatsoever to the Manix. I don't see this as being a counterfeit in the least.

PM2 Crucarta. This has become my most carried EDC blade, for some reason.

Re: St. Nicks 4V Military 1
I don’t know the least about 4V or how well it suits this particular knife. IMO, 4v is one of the best steels you could ask for in a Millie. Good toughness, reasonable corrosion resistance for a tool steel and *unbelievable* “sharpenability”. Every time I touch up my St Nicks para 3, I’m shocked at...

I hope this list is incomplete. I was hoping to see more Manix (not LW), PM2, and Shaman options.

Re: 2023 Spyderco Plans Or Projects
I spent far too much in 22 building my base collection. Well over 2k. This year, in only going to buy sprints and exclusives that catch my eye.
As for projects, only if I get one with a cage lock... As is my tradition to replace with Ti.

Re: Just for fun, who here is NOT on social media?
Forums are one example of social media. I have degrees in information systems and worked in technical support for quite a while in many different capacities. I have accounts on a few social media sites. They are all different and have their own look and feel to them. The people they attract and the...

Re: Just for fun, who here is NOT on social media?
Participating in an irrelevant discussion, i.e. "who is not on social media," is a perfect example of what what social media is all about. 🤯 🤣 It isn't irrelevant. I wanted to know, that makes it relevant. To me, at least. It's not like I posted a pool about who likes Megan Markle or some...

Re: Just for fun, who here is NOT on social media?
At first I thought I was alone, one of the few people in the world NOT on social media (facebook, twitter, insta, etc.). I thought I was a rare breed, but I'm noticing more and more people lately are turning their noses up at all social media in general. With that said, who here is NOT on ANY socia...

Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?
You referred to S30V as an old steel and S45VN being an upgrade, now you refer to the compression lock the same way. I prefer to view different locks and steels as just that — different. There are pros and cons to the choices we have to pick from and to pick one as superior to the rest is a fallacy...

Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?
I understand some people being disappointed that the Mil2 will initially be produced with a S30V blade, as it’s “old news” in today’s market. However, when it comes to the steel’s performance; S30V holds up as a great general purpose knife steel. S45VN has a slightly different composition, (most no...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
it's definitely a shorter travel to open and close due to the negative angle. i usually close by putting my thumb on the lock and using my index finger on the opposite side of the opening hole that i would use to open it. not sure if that makes sense or not. It does make sense. And that's good to k...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up
I have always thought the design was unusual but not ugly and really prefer less hump in a blade and handle seemed so odd . It wasn’t until I had one in hand that I realized it is a knife of functional beauty. The knife feels very natural in hand once I became accustomed to the hump . Actually taug...
