Re: Native Chief M390 sprint run
I cannot wait for this one. I will buy one the day it drops. But my secret desire is an S45VN Manix with a brush finished blade, natural canvas or brown burlap micarta scales, and a factory titanium cage.

Re: S110v Manix 2 with copper scales and a brass cage
Do you allow the scales to develop a personality or do do maintenance over time ? What are your preference? MG2 It has already developed a dark patina and it's only been about a month. I think I'm eventually going to take the scales off, give them a brasso spa day, then let them develop a new patin...

Re: S110v Manix 2 with copper scales and a brass cage
I love what you have done with the Manix. For me the LW cheapens the design in to the ground. But i get what you are aiming for. The manix g10 is one of the best knives ever to put custom scales on it makes it a completely different knife. I also love the heavy feel it gets from those scales. Here ...

S110v Manix 2 with copper scales and a brass cage
I have nothing against blurple or G-10 but for some reason, I just feel like it cheapens the Manix, so I put my own spin on it.
It's a lot heavier now, but I don't mind. I like a weighty knife!! Enjoy the eye candy

I love the spirit of the knife community in general, most of the decent folks here, Spyderco as a company... I just wish every SINGLE comment didn't have to be moderated.

Re: Looking for S45vn in Manic XL sometime...
I'd be happy with a Manix 2 in S45VN brushed out nicely like the PM2. Will we ever see that?

Will there ever be a Manix...
... in S45VN? Seriously, I can't help but put my PM2 next to my Manix 2 and think "Together they are the perfect knife". Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against S30V, but we all know S45VN is the better steel. I'd love to see a brushed finish like the PM2 has on that nice leaf shaped bl...

Re: Manix 2 Question
As ladybug said, I found that leaving mine half open each night for a while seemed to help some. So, yes, it will change and break in over time if you do this. I will also say that while I haven’t changed the spring or ball in mine, I did change out the cage to a titanium one. This was a huge impro...

Re: Manix 2 Question
then I have to ask... is it really that bad? I just always wonder is it really worth modding the knife? Is it really that bad? No, it's not that bad. Just annoyingly bad enough that I have to focus on the knife when I'm trying to close it with one hand, and that's something I don't have to do with ...

Re: Manix 2 Question
I really hate modding Spyderco knives (for function, not style). You're right, they built it that way for a reason, and I'm inclined to trust them. I think you are right, I need to just let it break in, and increase my thumb strength/get used to the motion Thank you for your replies! I'm not going t...

Manix 2 Question
Hi all! I got the Manix 2 and this is my first cage lock knife from Spyderco. I see there are custom aftermarket springs out there and now I understand why. Does the factory spring break in and become easier to compress? I find that is difficult to one-hand close this bad boy because of how strong t...

"Native Chief CPM-4v DLC Red G-10" <-- Anyone know if this will be re-stocked/available anywhere else? It's beautiful. Just got my Fradon Lock PM2 yesterday and I love it.
