Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

For a made-in-Japan model, the most realistic upgrade would be swapping out the blade and liners for LC200n. However, taking it to the next level would be a full G10 or carbon construction, similar to the Siren and Magnacut blade. And seriously, I can't even fathom a C-60 Ayoob in FRN—I just don't w...

I would be open to any ideas for a lightweight model but I just can't even imagine a C-60 model in FRN.
Well, that'd be a Salt C-60, wouldn't it?

Wasn't a fan of FRN at first but it's made me a believer. I'd buy a FRN Ayoob. MB two ;)
G10 is not less salt than FRN ;)

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Can we have a lightweight version and wire clip🙂 I would be open to any ideas for a lightweight model but I just can't even imagine a C-60 model in FRN. With Titanium being a relatively lightweight metal I could maybe go that route. In the past I've always been fond of several of Spyderco's Titaniu...

Re: M4 Yojumbo

Mr Janich, what are your thoughts on a “Micro Jumbo” ? This is obviously the Mcbee but I believe a MJ spin on this Wolverine knife would be amazing. This is the most effective micro self defense knife I have and I love it but can’t help but think you can make it even more high speed, low drag. Resp...

Re: Corrosion Reports

Not much to report but there was a small bit of red rust on my Rex45 Native 5 just under the scale on the show side. I've carried this knife quite a bit at work (auto mechanic) and at home on my small farm doing chores. I kind of expected more since it didn't always get wiped down after use. It wip...

I have to assume that the black/yellow bumblebee look is an attempt to determine just how far they will have to go to keep the PM2 in Magna-Cut from selling out in ten minutes or fewer.
Or to keep selling also other PM2s in the catalog:)

About knives & vibrations

Asking this kind of question almost embarrasses me, but I come from the world of vintage watches where vibrations and humidity are big enemies. So, I apply the same mindset to my Spyderco knives. 😄 Do even minor vibrations affect folding knives, not the super strong and prolonged ones that loosen sc...

On sharg.pl is their usual weekend discount on some Spyderco models.

Very intersting is this old stock Mantra 2 for the good price:

Re: Reveal 14 teaser from September's byte

My guess the only SPY27 model we may see in this reveal is Stretch 2XL SPY27 Sprint run.

I was looking forward for this one quite a bit, but now it would be hard to decide between S2XL and Native Chief LW in SPY27.
