Nice! How do you like new screwed construction? Aesthetically I like previous one more, but curious if this is an improvement.

I usually press the button and once the blade starts to close I release it. I just put oil on the pivot. Mine has been fine for the past 3 and a half years.
Thank you very much!

Re: Corrosion Reports

Thanks a lot! I think Bar Keepers Friend or FLITZ will easily remove it. Just dreaming of an affordable injection molded material more durable than FRN that Spyderco could use to reintroduce all Seki models linerless again I actually did use Bar Keepers Friend and it worked perfectly. I also did a ...

Re: Corrosion Reports

I pulled apart my K390 Endura today to put some new scales on it and just as Vivi reported with his Police 4, the stainless liners had more corrosion than the blade. Weird. https://i.postimg.cc/mZJB0Tb5/IMG-20240109-113004-MP-2.jpg Dan Thanks for sharing. Could you provide more details? Did it get ...

Re: What are your thoughts on the Autonomy 2?

Finally… Just ordered one 😊 Nice! I got mine (and my Dad as well) for Christmas. It is wicked sharp out of the box and nice and solid in hand. Cant wait to carry it and use it. My dad seems to really use his knives hard in the yard so I'm excited to see what he does to his. Here is mine still very ...

New Autonomy 2 owner – basic questions

Just got my first Autonomy 2 and would like to know how to close the blade without putting unnecessary wear on the lock and button. Should I press the button and hold it until the blade is fully closed, or release the button when the blade is 1/3 closed? With the compression lock, for instance, I ke...

Re: Stretch XL Salt Observations

i've been saying it for a while, but these pics confirm it for me. i'm certain the s2xl salt is going to knock the pacific out of my waistband. that's such a strange thing for me to think about since it's been undefeated for years. i'll have to wait a bit to buy one, so my fingers are crossed that ...

Re: Stretch 2 XL in grey G10 and CruWear steel!

I've had some tough luck with the quality control of Japanese-made Spyderco knives, but surprisingly, my Cruwear S2XL doesn't show any issues like a lanyard tube problem. It's from one of the first batches that became available in Europe. Although I had been dreaming of a G10 Endura for a while and ...

Re: Stretch XL Salt Observations

I sensed that the Stretch XL platform is like a new version of the Endura. The info and photos here just validate that. I recall Michael Janich clarifying why the Endura's deployment is faster than, say, the Native Chief due to the construction and lock geometry. I'm curious if the action on the Str...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

Are you interested in straight titanium or some kind of material on top of titanium? That's an interesting question and one I hadn't really considered until now. If the base of the handle was titanium or titanium alloy and maybe use something really grippy on the surface to give the handle signific...

Re: Corrosion Reports

Saw this through the scales on my MagnaCut Mule... https://i.imgur.com/hgOW57I.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ojId8oX.jpg I thought it was interesting that the scale hardware didn't have any rust on it. I did a quick rub down with ISO and got the bulk off but it will take a little more effort to remove th...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

i think someone around here has made a case once or twice for all sd folders to be released as salt models. For sure you are spot on. No argument from me what so ever. And I'm not exactly sure as to why so many folders in the SD sector are desired to be in the SALT series. But in the case of the C-...
