If the smock is a sleeper then the Sebenza is just a fad.

Re: Are acid washed knives safe for food prep?

Vinegar is in the dressing you put on your salad. Ferric chloride is used to treat the water used to make your Kool-Aid. Your stainless kitchen knives are 1/6 chromium. Chromium? Remember the movie Erin Brockovich? It will destroy your kidneys and liver, in addition to creating those unsightly skin...

Re: Bugout pack suggestions

LOL, this is true even if it stings me a bit. :D My 12yr old nephew taught me this while playing Fortnite with him. He told me to collect good gear so when I die he has extras. OOF. That was a life lesson. Hahaha, what a savage!!! That kid is going places  I was in a barbershop where the “bug...

Bugout pack suggestions

Which spyderco would be best for a bugout pack? Toughness and durability being the obvious criteria.

Thanks in advance

I use a T9 on my domino pivot. T8 on the body.
I mean the dimensions of the screw. I have the bits for the pivot but need a new screw.

How do they cut? I love the design but it seems a bit chunky for me.
Thats why I haven't bought one. It's fat and seems like it would take up too much pocket.

I oiled my caly 3.5. It's zdp though so it is mostly to prevent corrosion.

Re: My growing love for the Para3

Find the Para 3 in S30V a great knife for just about anything. No need to baby the standard model that can easily be replaced any day of the week. Sprints tend to get used less due to replacement factor. A bit like a Delica or more like 5-6 is a common knife sitting all around the house and garage ...

Re: My growing love for the Para3

Yea, the Para 3 is a great knife. Definitely highly-recommended to all my friends as a first Spyderco. One thing I don't love is the pocket bulk:blade length ratio. I find myself enjoying bigger knives lately, and when you put a Military and a Para 3 side by side it's almost a joke - you get SO muc...

Re: My growing love for the Para3

Glad you like it, Randy! :) The Para 3 is certainly not my favorite Spyderco, but in this size range I´d still take it over almost any knife of another brand. Perhaps some day you´d like to try a Sage 5. I´d be curious what you think about it compared to the Para 3 For me the Sage 5 - similar size,...

Re: My growing love for the Para3

I never quite fell in love with the g10 version. But I recently got a LW and it’s a game changer for me. Something about it just works for me better than the g10 ever did. And you’re right about the fidget factor. I think it’s even more fun to flick around than the pm2 is. Definitely try the LW if ...

My growing love for the Para3

I cant put it down or even part with it to be completely honest. It's for me the perfect EDC. It has a great fidget factor which is useful because I deal with anxiety to the extremes so the para3 doesn't just provide me a cutting tool but it provides therapy lol. It's pushed every other knife in my ...

Re: About that food prep ...

I dont use a folding knife for hardly any food prep even when camping or elk hunting. I will however use one to cut up my food at camp if no better choice is available or to cup up food for my son when in the car. Like you said there's no real cause for it.
