Hi Sal,
Thanks for the consideration. I hope I’m not alone in seeing the value here. Would be great to see a complete Mule that incorporates your ergonomics.

FRN Scales (?)
Never thought I would cross over from the “grateful for everything Sal has given us” camp to the “asking Sal for favors” group but here goes: I’ve always loved the feel of the Jumpmaster 2 in-hand and was taking the scales of my Enuff Salt for some Rit dying today when it occurred to me that similar...

I was also just refunded. Seems like retailers are in the habit of “over selling” this one.samdasnake wrote: ↑Fri Mar 05, 2021 5:22 pm**** looks like my order from Northwest just got refunded

Congrats on a job well done. Looks beautiful (actually thought you had swapped in a UKPK drop point blade when I first glimpsed it) and your photos really make the handle color pop.
Please keep us all posted with your impressions.

Eric spoke a little about the workings of the exclusives program yesterday in this interview:

Re: Wharncliffe Para Military 2 CUTLERY SHOPPE EXCLUSIVE
Love a wharncliffe, love a PM2, but this one leaves me cold. I’m sure it will cut like a beast, though.
Seems eerily like a Canis.

Re: New to the Sharpmaker-Question?
Thanks Cambertree. I was considering purchasing the CBN rods, but will replace my brown rods first and see if they give me the cutting performance I’m looking for.

Re: New scale install?
I treated my Maxamet mule with Frog Lube before attaching handles to it. Granted that model is a lot less stainless than SPY27 is, but it can’t hurt to have that extra protection. Just my 2¢.
Enjoy that new mule!

Re: MT28P - CPM SPY27 Mule Team - Impressions
PStone actually just started one on this Mule yesterday. https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=88891 Yes, I think I beat him to the punch by a few minutes but had to wait for Mod approval for this to go up. Kristi, if you would like to delete this thread for redundancy, you have my ap...

Re: New to the Sharpmaker-Question?
Not so new to the sharpmaker (have owned one for 11 years now), but had a question regarding stone longevity. From reading the posts above it is clear that diamond and CBN rods have a finite lifespan, and it also seems that the coarse rods benefit from some breaking-in. After 11 years of using my co...

Re: Dragonfly 2 Salt - black or silver wire clip
My SE Dragonfly Salt purchased six months ago came as you mentioned: blacked out hardware with silver clip. In my experience the clip is the first think to get nicked up, so I don’t mind the bare clip. On a separate Dragonfly that I acid etched I left a wire clip in ferric chloride for the better pa...

MT28P - CPM SPY27 Mule Team - Impressions
Fellow Mules, Now that the SPY27 Mule is landing in mailboxes (and has already been in the hands of some lucky SFO-adjacent folks for a few days) it seems like a good time to set up a thread separate from the reveal and release date announcement ones. Let's share impressions on performance & sha...

Re: SE H1 vs SE LC200N
Any steel has better slicing edge retention while serrated than with a plain edge. Maybe Eric was saying something else. The difference between PE H1 and SE H1 edge retention is greater than the edge retention difference in other steels compared in each edge type. There is a wider disparity between...

Re: SE H1 vs SE LC200N
@Warnstein , thanks for the explanation and invaluable link. Not sure if it's relevant here, but interesting to know that H1 is not heat treated. I wonder if LC200N is or not... @ Evil D I picked up a jumpmaster last year. The ergos are amazing and it cuts like a small chainsaw. Very impressive per...

SE H1 vs SE LC200N
During his appearance in BHQ’s video announcing the latest New Product Reveal Eric mentioned that PE LC200N has greater edge retention than PE H1, but H1 will outcut LC200N when both steels are serrated. I recall reading that SE H1 has one of the higher CATRA scores that Spyderco has seen, while PE ...
