Re: Having a shot at some timber scales

I have been cleaning out my garage getting ready to move and dug up some very nice birds eye maple that I forgot I had. As soon as I saw it I thought of this thread and it wasn't long before I stopped cleaning the garage and started making some sawdust. I was able to get them roughed out, drilled f...

Re: MT31P - Mule Team Featuring CPM S45VN - Release Date

I am fairly tempted but want to hold out for z-Max and magnacut. I am just worried there will be such a run for those I will end up with none.

Sounds like a great steel, another one for me to be excited for. Good luck Sal on this one, you will need it with the demand you will have.

Re: The Mule: It's an experiment!

Great looking knife. I want to try to make scales too. It’s funny, I have almost every tool known to man. But I don’t have a band saw, drill press or disc sander. Might make this though. I do have a belt sander, router, jig saw, planer, jointer, table saw, etc, I will rig something up.

Re: Mule Team quantity discussion

Hi All, Thanx for your participation. Some additional thoughts on things like pre-sell or clubs, much of the demand has come from new people coming into the Spyderco world. If we pre-sell, the new people that will come in after the steel has been ordered will increase demand that we cannot predict?...

Re: MT28P - Mule Team Featuring CPM SPY27 - Release Date

This is sold out already???   This is starting to get a bit out of control. I just don't know how much longer I can believe the "we didn't know what the demand would be" excuse... Must have been a really small run. Hi Nick, Do you think that I am lying, or t...

Re: Mule Team quantity discussion

Sal, I am fairly new to this forum but I have been a big Spyderco fan since I purchased my original Endura 25 or so years ago. I still actually have it but I don't carry it too much in fear of losing it. The Mule Team is a great program and I am very excited to get in on it. Thank you for being so e...

Took all I had not to order one. I am waiting for one of the other two to try. Just hope it does not take 3-4 months for the next one to release.

Re: MuleTeam swag?

Who else would like a MuleTeam shirt, hat or boxershorts? :p Seriously I would love to have a MT team member t-shirt or even one of the soft cases with a nice logo or scene with a MT theme on it. How about bandanas? What would you like to have to show that MuleTeam pride? :spyder: I am up for any-s...

Re: Z-Max mule!

How often are mules released? They were being released at 3 to 4 month intervals back when the program was in full swing. Three have been announced in the Reveals, but this Friday will be the first new release in about 3 years. That makes me want to get the SPY27 now. It is probably the last one of...

Re: Which two would you choose?

Thanks all! I was interested in Z-MAX and SPY27 the most and your comments have solidified that - as well as the fact that SPY27 will become available first. So I will be trying to get a MT28 when they become available and if they are not available by the time I am ordering then I will just have to...

Re: MuleTeam Giveaway!

I’m in. But what I would really appreciate is a how to / learned lesson on making scales. If I can get a new mule I want to try and make wood scales for it. I have a beautiful piece of rough cut cherry I want to use. That is indeed a beautiful piece of Cherry :) . Of course, you could theoretically...

Re: Buying a mule?

Hi Jkat, Welcome to our forum. Hope you enjoy your time here. And really to all of you. The 600 pcs we usually make was a guess. That's what we thought the size of the market was. So quantity is also something we're watching. We don''t want to create a issue with getting them. It's really not a big...

Re: Z-Max mule!

Is there any sort of a heads up when they become available or do I need to just check here (and there) obsessively until they're posted? I would also love to know if there is any type of heads up on this. Also all three #28, #29, #31 mules have a listed price of $50, does that mean that will be the...

Hi Jkat, William, Welcome to our forum. Hope you enjoy your time here. sal Good to be here, I have been a long time looker here.
