Re: Blade discoloration
I usually buy all my knives from SFO. This is first I bought through Amazon (them directly not third party). The price was hard to beat. I figured I would be safe with Amazon in not getting a counterfeit or second. I was worried more about the integrity of the steel rather than visual being this is ...

Blade discoloration
I just purchased a Lil' temperance. I saw one side has what looks like a strain or bad heat treatment on the blade. I wiped off the blade well but the discoloration is still there So far all my Spyderco blades have been flawless. Is this something to be concerned over. I tried to capture as best I c...

Re: New Guy
I have had a interest in knives ever since I was a kid and my father have me my first Buck knife. Over the years I have owned many brands and now as a Law Enforcement Officer, I carry one every day on the job but also carry a knife when I'm off. I had recently learned about the Opfocus program and h...

Re: Z-Wear Shaman: availability discussion & lookout thread
It is hard to believe that it's only 2 weeks out with the major sites still not taking preorders but one can always hope.

Re: Z-Wear PM Shaman
There seems to be about a lot of us waiting on that Sprint run. The good news is it seems Spyderco realized how popular they were after the last run and will be making a larger quantity this time. The best thing to do is register to email you when available on the sites that have that and keep an ey...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
My favorite EDCs are as follows:
Wearing shorts: Dragonfly (like nothing in pocket)
Normal everyday: Fluted carbon Native (love this knife)
Work (LE) Manix 2 but soon to be Canis
Dress attire: Vrango (favorite Spyderco)
Camping/heavy work: hopefully soon to be Shaman but right now Lion Steel Sr-1

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
As I am waiting on the Shaman Sprint to drop, I got to watching Kelly McCann videos. Next thing I know, I just ordered myself a Canis. This is becoming quite an expensive obsession.

Re: Dragonfly K390
Actually the Dragonfly 2 was my introduction to Spyderco. I initially purchased the ZDP-189 edition and then I happened upon the Sprint run of the Toku 2 edition. I had no idea what a sprint run was at the time, but I liked it and bought it on the spot. Both still get pocket time when I am looking f...

Re: Para 3 LW w/ spy27
Thanks guys. Great to hear. I look forward to it coming back. It looks like a nice knife to add to the collection. This is kind of addicting. I have admired knives all my life and have own many starting with Buck then Gerber then Kershaw and then ZT and Benchmade. Just got into Spyderco a little whi...

Para 3 LW w/ spy27
So I think this knife just came out in June. Is this a production knife or Sprint run? I only ask because it seems to be sold out everywhere. Was this just very popular or was it a limited run? I hope Spyderco planning on making more of these because this may be my first Para 3. I am waiting on the ...

Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?
The knife I seem to keep coming back to is the Vrango. It is small enough to pocket carry in almost anything from shorts to slacks. It feels good in the hand. It always catches peoples eye with unique styling. I have grown to really love the blade for multiple tasks. And I love any knife in blue.

Re: Sprint Run Question
Thanks all. I will keep my eye out on the forums. I have downloaded the app and added the sprint knife to my wishlist. I have also registered on a few sites to notify me when it becomes available. Hopefully with them all, I won't miss it but I do have a habit of getting involved in things and then f...

Sprint Run Question
HI all, first post here. I owned my first Spyderco for years but recently got real interested in them and now own 6. The question I have is for Sprint Runs (non exclusives): does Spyderco carry them on their website for sale or are they just carried through dealers being the limited quantities? And,...
