Re: Byrd titanium
I own all three. The Cara Cara, Meadowlark, and the Robin. I don't carry/ use them often. I've had no issues with performance. I mainly got them so I could do some creative anodizing to them. However, the scales are thin. I would've liked to seen them a bit thicker.

Re: Stropping: Your Favorite Hardware & Supplies?
I used to use the leather and compounds. Even tried the diamond paste and spray. I've found them to work well. I now use a board and adhesive micro mesh. The 1 micron is my go to, but have used other grits too. It keeps a nice edge. Especially on the super steels. When the mesh gets a little clogged...

Re: Sage 1 Maxamet Feedback Thread
My Sage 1 Maxamet has dominated my pocket time so far this Spring and Summer. Of all the other dozens of knives that I have including many other Spydies. The The Sage 1 Maxamet beats them overall. I replaced the wire clip with a Lynch Northwest deep carry clip and added a GITD back spacer. Now if so...

Re: How Spyderco changed your approach to knives
The primary knife that I carry must have the ability to meet a certain level of requirements. Mainly it has to be able to be removed from pocket, pouch, or purse ( Men's or Women's) with one hand. Then it has to be deployed with one hand. Then the process reversed. It needs to be able to be done qui...

Re: Which Spyderco best for whittling wood?
Drastard, I would agree that the Mcbee would be good as far as the blade goes. It's the long use time whittling with the handle that would concern me. With all the extra down time we are having. I started whittling a bit again just to help pass the time. I've been using the Roadie. Works well. Thoug...

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I would like to see some Byrd accessories. A knife case with the Byrd logo on it. I would also like to see the duck foot sharpener back in production. As far as blade steel. How about D2?
