I prefer the thin blade of the chaparral, and would prefer not adding any thickness to the overall package. For something with an easier to operate lockbar, a couple good options are the slightly shorter g10 dragonfly or the slightly longer native.

I would be very interested in a chaparral xl. Thin blade, backlock, g10. A lw version would be good too.

I bought a se dragonfly aus8 with the clip molded in, in the 90s. That knife sold me on spyderco. I have always liked smaller profile, very useful knives.
