The first defining feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is crafted from Crucible® Industries' CPM® S90V®—a state-of-the-art powder metallurgy stainless steel enriched with vanadium. CPM S90V's high vanadium content promotes the formation of hard vanadium carbides instead of chromium carbides, increasing the steel's wear resistance and edge-holding properties while leaving additional free chromium available to enhance corrosion resistance. The Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process used to produce this steel further enhances its performance potential by ensuring an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure, The PlainEdge™ blade of this knife is full-flat ground for exceptional edge geometry and proudly features a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ for swift, ambidextrous, one-handed opening. To eliminate reflection and give it a no-nonsense tactical appearance, it also sports a handsome black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating.

Equally unique, the handle of this Para Military 2 showcases olive drab G-10 scales with a peel-ply texture for a secure, non-slip grip. Skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within the scales serve as the foundation of the knife's patented Compression Lock® mechanism, which offers extreme strength and safe, convenient, one-handed operation.
