The first defining feature of this elite knife is its blade, which is precision machined from Crucible® Industries' CPM® CRU-WEAR®—an air-hardening tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. CRU-WEAR's advanced alloy composition allows it to excel in applications that require greater wear resistance than D2, more toughness than M2 high speed steel, or both. The CRU-WEAR used in this knife's blade is also enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure that maximizes the performance potential of the steel. The PlainEdge™ blade of this exclusive knife is full-flat ground for low-friction cutting performance. To eliminate its reflective properties and help protect it from corrosion, it is also cloaked in a handsome black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating.

Equally unique, the fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle of this Delica 4 Lightweight is injection-molded in a classic military olive drab color. Like all Delica 4 Lightweights, the handle is supported by a framework of skeletonized stainless liners and features a Bi-Directional Texture™ pattern for a for a secure, non-slip grip. It is also home to the knife's sturdy back lock mechanism and a four-position pocket clip that provides a full spectrum of carry options.
